Financial Aid Application Deadline Nears

Are you applying for financial aid next year? You must submit a 2012-2013 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form by February 15, 2012, to best ensure your eligibility for financial aid next year. While several factors determine eligibility for any specific form of financial aid, meeting the February 15 priority deadline is one factor that you can impact. The FAFSA is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Although students are strongly encouraged to submit their FAFSA online, paper FAFSAs can be downloaded at www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov using the FAFSA Filing Options link. You are encouraged to submit your financial aid application as soon as possible. 

Students sometimes miss the deadline while waiting for W-2 tax information. Students and their family members may provide estimated income figures on their FAFSA in order to submit the FAFSA by February 15. Students update the estimated information with actual values once they are known.
