What are emergency loans?

WWU offers two types of emergency loans to assist students with short term cash needs: a Signature Loan for a maximum of $250 that is due in 30 days or an Institutional Loan for a maximum of $600 that is due in 90 days. Both loans require your parent's address and two references with complete addresses and phone numbers. References cannot include parents, room mates, spouse or anyone affiliated with Western. You must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for either loan.
