Financial Aid Application Process

The financial aid process can seem a bit daunting at first glance. Below is an easy-to-follow guide and helpful hints which will make the application process smoother.

Print clearly and answer all questions. Consider submitting your FAFSA via the web at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov for best results.
If the processor indicates on your Student Aid Report that there are issues that need to be resolved before your eligibility can be determined, make the corrections and mail to the processor as soon as possible to avoid delays.
Make copies of all documents you submit and keep them organized.
Print the student’s name and Western ID Number on all documents you submit to Western.
Always be prepared to begin classes with some of your own funds even if you expect to receive financial aid.
