WWU Scholarships
Joe and Anneliese Zauchner Intensive English Study Scholarship
The Intensive English Program (IEP) at Western Washington University offers non-credit English language courses that are designed to prepare international students for academic study at American colleges or universities as well as improve English fluency in a variety of settings. Scholarships cover all normal expenses (tuition, fees, housing, food and books) for one quarter and will be offered to citizens of Austria and Germany, and European citizens of Austrian descent, who are motivated to strengthen their English through enrollment in the IEP. International Student Scholarship
Scholarships for the academic year are available to undergraduate and graduate international students with non-immigrant status (F or J Visa), who have completed at least one quarter at WWU (12 credits as an undergraduate or 8 credits as a graduate student). Awards are based on academic achievement, community and campus activities and the need for financial assistance. Applications are available here. The Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation administers 30 annual awards which can be renewed for up to three years. The purpose of the scholarship is for German scholars who intend to enter long-term, project-oriented joint research. PEO International Peace Scholarship Fund
These scholarships are provided to women from other countries for graduate study in the U.S. and Canada. Applicants must be qualified for admission to full-time graduate study or working toward a graduate degree in a university of their choice in the U.S. or Canada, have a full year of course work remaining, and promise to return to their country within 90 days of completion of the degree. Press Fellowships
The fund is administered by Alfred Friendly Press Fellowships with awards that is based upon merit. The annual number of awards is 10.
