The ASHRAE Scholarship Program is designed to encourage and assist in the education of men and women pursuing a career in the field of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) through its granting of scholarships and fellowships. Available to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and submit the following in one envelope postmarked by the application deadline.

Proof of at least 1/4 Indian blood required for this award. Scholarship disbursement is based on availability of funds. There is no deadline for application. This is a supplemental award, intended to help American Indian students of any age, from any U.S. tribe, in any state striving to get an education. Must be an enrolled member and possess at least 1/4 degree American Indian blood from a federally recognized, state recognized or terminated U.S. tribe. Applicants must: attend an accredited college or university full-time, and have a high GPA, ACT and/or SAT score. Applicants are required to apply for all other sources of federal and state funding by completing a FAFSA. Excellence in Predicting the Future Award

The Excellence in Predicting the Future Award is available to encourage students to pursue economics or simply to learn more about the world they live in. The award winners are chosen based on your performance in a contest. You use the Cenimar Prediction Market to buy and sell predictions about the future in the same way that you might buy and sell corporate stock on a commercial stock market. The prediction market trading is done using play money that is given to you for free. The contest runs continously, with a deadline every two months. The deadlines are December 10, February 10, April 10, June 10, August 10, and October 10.

CIRI Foundation

The CIRI Foundation scholarships are available for post-secondary undergraduate and graduate studies. Education grants are offered for technical and vocational training. Scholarship and education grants are limited to eligible, qualified, and selected Alaska Native beneficiaries. A completed application and all required materials must be submitted by the deadline in order for an applicant to receive full consideration. Scholarship awarded twice annually. The June 1st deadline is for both the general semester and annual awards. The December 1st deadline is for the following semester.

Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals

This is a one-year scholarship program in Germany with a strong focus on the cultural experience. German language proficiency is not required but strongly recommended. The program is intended primarily for young adults in business, technical, vocational, and agricultural fields, though all applicant from all fields may apply. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, 18-24 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must have completed general coursework in target internship field at a community college, college, or university as well as some relevant work experience (short-term, volunteer, or internship) in target internship field. The program combines two months of language study, four months of classroom instruction and a five month internship. Ideal candidates have clear career goals, good communication skills and exhibit flexibility and diplomacy. Previous Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for High School Students or Vocationalists may not apply.
