Global Lift Equipment Scholarship

To be considered for The Global Lift Equipment Scholarship you must a) be currently attending or planning on attending a post-secondary institution in Canada or the US in the fall of 2015, b) submit a short story, c) have a GPA of 2.5 or greater, and d) be a resident of the US or Canada.

With your application, you must submit a short story not exceeding 2000 words in length and the story must be written from the viewpoint of an inanimate object. The inanimate object you choose must be found on our website in our Used Equipment Inventory section. This object must be the main character. You must have at least two characters in your story, you must write from a first person point-of-view, and you must include realistic details to accurately portray the machine's purpose, size, color, and life span.

College Success Foundation
Washington State Opportunity Scholarship

The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship helps low and middle-income Washington State residents earn first bachelor’s degrees in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and health care.

More than 700 scholarships will be awarded to new students who will be college freshmen, sophomores or juniors fall of the 2015-16 academic year. These students will receive $1,000 renewable scholarship each year, (provided they continue to meet the renewal criteria), to help in their pursuit of four-year degrees in the following eligible high demand programs of study: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or Health Care. When scholarship recipients achieve junior class standing, they can apply to increase their scholarship to $5,000.

Applicants must also submit their 2015-2016 FAFSA at fafsa.gov, as well as mail their official transcript by March 9th, 2015 in order to be eligible.

Big Fish 2015 Gaming Scholarship

Create your own video concept and tell us about it! In the world of video game development, you need to be able to clearly flush out a concept for a video game. Beyond story and character, you need to consider genre and what makes a game so playable and memorable. Not only do you need to be creative, you have to be strategic, too. The Big Fish 2015 Scholarship Contest aims to give future game developers an opportunity to showcase their creativity and ability to pitch an exciting new game while vying for a chance to win $5,000 to put towards their education.

Submit your game design through video, storyboard, screenshots, drawings, concept art, or other media of your choice. Entries will be judged on creativity, thoroughness, clarity of objective and plot.
