KFC Colonel Scholars Program

High School students who qualify to apply for this scholarships must be graduating between 12/1/09 and 8/31/10. Enrolling in a public (state-funded)college or university within your state of legal residence. Applicants must earn a minimum GPA of 2.75, and plan on pursuing a Bachelor's degree, able to demonstrate financial need and a legal U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

|
|
|
Every applicant must be an active National JACL member at either an Individual or Student/Youth Level. Couple/Family membership by a parent will not meet this requirement. For more information about membership categories, please contact the JACL Membership Department at National Headquarters at “mbr@jacl.org”. Applicants must be planning to attend full time at a college, university, trade school, business school, or any other institution of higher learning within the United States at the undergraduate or graduate school level in the fall of 2010. Students deferring enrollment will not qualify for the 2010 scholarship program. Entering Freshman applicants must be high school seniors.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (High School)
|
|
|
Eligible applicants must be the son/daughter of one of the following: Active duty, reserve, or retired U.S. Marine. U.S. Marine who has served at least 90 days and has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Active duty or reserve U.S. Navy Corpsman who is currently attached to a Marine unit, or was attached to a Marine unit, U.S. Navy Corpsman who was attached to a Marine unit and has received an Honorable Discharge, Medical Discharge, or was killed while serving in the U.S. Navy. Applicants must Graduating from high school in 2010, or currently attending college or a vocational/technical institution, or planning to attend college or a vocational/technical institution in the fall of 2010. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.0. There is a family income limit. The income limit for the 2009 tax year is $82,000.00. Complete details can be found online.

|
|
|
This scholarship is available to high school juniors, male or female. It is based upon academic achievement, leadership experience and work experience. Applications must be requested in writing.

Wells Fargo (High School) CollegeSTEPS Program
|
|
|
This award is open to any current U.S. resident,(excluding residents of New York, Florida, and Rhode Island) who is a high school senior during the 2009-2010 school year, who graduates from high school in 2010 and who enrolls in the CollegeSTEPS Program. Eligible Entrants who are under the age of 18 must provide the name of their legal guardian(s) in order to submit an Entry. Eight (8) drawings will be made between July 1, 2009 and May 31, 2010.
