WWU Undergraduate Student Scholarships

BP Cherry Point Scholarship
Awarded to a member of the WWU basketball team who demonstrates financial need and is in good academic standing with the university.
Chuck Lappenbusch, Sr. Athletic Scholarship
This award is for a scholar-athlete participating in a Western varsity sport. Established by Chuck Lappenbusch, Jr. and family on behalf of Coach Lappy, a former coach, teacher and administrator, and a Western legend.
Chuck Randall Men’s Basketball Scholarship
Established by Katherine Parker Randall and family in honor of coaching great, Chuck Randall. This scholarship is awarded to a varsity men's basketball participant.
Frank “Moose” Zurline Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship program was established by Frank and Vi Zurline of Bellingham, long-time supporters of Western Washington University and its athletic programs.
Haggen Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a varsity student-athlete, majoring in business and participating in any of Western's varsity sports. Established by community leaders Rick and Sylvia Haggen.
Haskell Crew Scholarship
Scholarships are awarded annually to male and female crew participants. Established by F. Murray 'Red' and Betty Haskell.
Lynda Goodrich Women’s Basketball Scholarship
Established by Western's women basketball alumni and fans in honor of Western's Impact Person of the Century and former coach, Lynda Goodrich. This scholarship will be awarded to a varsity women's basketball participant who demonstrates excellence, integrity and sportsmanship.
Metzger Family Scholarship
This scholarship goes to a varsity women's basketball participant. It was established by Harry and Jeanne Metzger, parents of Jo Metzger-Levine, WWU's Women's Athlete of the Century, and is privately funded.
Norm Bright Scholarship
This scholarship is for a varsity track and field participant with financial need. It was established by the Norman Bright Estate.
Paula and Kirk Wilson Scholarship.
Scholarships will be available for students participating in an intercollegiate sport at Western Washington University. Applicants must be full-time students and be participating members of a congregation of the Church of Latter-Day Saints, as evidenced by a confirmation letter from their local congregation. This scholarship is privately funded.
Pfueller Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for a varsity track and field participant. It was established in memory of Gale Pfueller, Sr. by Gale and Gretchen Pfueller.
Virginia and Alfred L. Munkres Athletic Scholarship
This scholarship is available to deserving scholar athletes at Western. First preference will be given to students participating in the university's football program at the intercollegiate level.
