Child Care and Day Labor Lists

Do you need help with yard work this week? Do you need child care over the weekend? Our child care and day labor lists provide important connections between students and employers in the community. The lists provide the names, phone numbers, and pertinent information for Western students who are available for day labor and child care. These lists conveniently give employers a chance to review a student's availability, preferred pay rate, educational interests, and transportation before deciding to call. Students who sign up for the list have the opportunity to modify their information as it changes over the quarter. Also, the list is refreshed every quarter to ensure that the information provided is current.

To obtain either list you must set up an employer profile with us. This service is completely free and takes just a couple minutes to complete. Once you have an employer profile, you have the option of receiving either list through email, fax, or regular mail. You must contact us each time you would like to receive a list.

Do you need some extra cash but don't have the time or schedule for a regular job? The Day Labor and Child care lists provide a way for you to work when you have time. It is an easy way to work a few hours when you have the time.

The Day Labor list is sent out to employers who request the list and are in need of students to do certain work on a day by day basis (i.e. yard work, house work, moving help). The list will include students': Name, Phone, Availability, Preferred Pay.

The Child Care list is sent out to employers who request the list and are in need of students who would like to care for children, typically on a temporary basis. The list will include students': Name, Phone, Availability, Preferred Pay, School Year, Major, Transportation.

A WWU student with a profile can be placed on the Day Labor or Child Care lists. WWU students who wish to create a student profile can do so by contacting our office.
