Security

Event Security Assistant 2  8.85-10.60     
Under general supervision, is responsible for overseeing and carrying out regular security procedures when the Event Security Lead is not present. 

Event Security Attendant 2  8.85-10.60     
Under general supervision, performs duties in providing ticket sales at various events, responsible for issuing and maintaining change funds and ensuring unauthorized persons do not enter events without payment. 

Event Security Lead 3  9.15-11.90     
Under limited supervision, schedules activities of other security staff. Maintains regular office hours. Attends weekly production meetings and leads weekly security pre-event planning meetings. Schedules personnel for events and advises on any problems that occurred in past events. Collects, collates, and signs event charge forms. Secures and closes event hall. Secures change funds and tickets and deposits money and tickets. Overall troubleshooter for an event. 

Parking Monitor 3  9.15-11.90     
Under limited supervision, perform duties to enforce parking regulations according to Washington Administrative Codes, by issuing parking citations to violators and impounding vehicles as required. Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license. 

Public Safety Assistant-Communications 4  9.50-14.50     
Under general supervision, performs varied duties involving protection of the University community. Assists in operating a complex communication system including University Police, Parking Control, and Maintenance Department radio communications, fire and intrusion alarm monitors, and telecommunications equipment. Screens incoming calls and dispatches University Public Safety personnel. Acts as receptionist for the Department and provides visitor information. Performs basic data entry and accesses information from multiple computer systems, including state Law Enforcement system. Entrusted with confidential information. This position requires working late and unusual hours and requires a high level of confidence and trust. Must be able to work under stress. A valid driver's license and good driving record is required.  

Public Safety Assistant-Communications 5  9.80-19.65     
Under limited supervision, performs varied duties involving protection of the University community. Operates a complex communication system including University Police, Parking Control, and Maintenance Department radio communications, fire and intrusion alarm monitors, and telecommunications equipment. Under limited supervision, performs varied duties involving protection of the University community and public service functions. Assists University Police officers in service-related activities and provides limited assistance in criminal activity incidents. Operates police radio equipment and patrol vehicles and is empowered to enforce University Parking rules and regulations. Entrusted with confidential information. This position requires working late and unusual hours and requires a high level of confidence and trust. Must be able to work under stress. A valid driver's license and good driving record is required. 

Public Safety Assistant-Patrol 5  9.80-19.65     
Under limited supervision, performs varied duties involving protection of the University community and public service functions. Assists University Police officers in service-related activities and provides limited assistance in criminal activity incidents. Operates police radio equipment and patrol vehicles and is empowered to enforce University Parking rules and regulations. Entrusted with confidential information. This position requires working late and unusual hours and requires a high level of confidence and trust. Must be able to work under stress. A valid driver's license and good driving record is required. This position works night shift and holidays and reflects a shift differential for working these hours. This position may include additional duties which reflect the performance and functions of an emergency communications officer where the employee has the appropriate skills and experience.
