| Under general supervision, is responsible for safety in indoor and outdoor pools. Monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents. Maintains order and rescues swimmers in danger of drowning. Maintains cleanliness of pool and pool area. Must have a Life Saving Certificate. |

| Assists in recreational activities in support of special groups or activities. May perform tasks of securing and distributing equipment and supplies, collecting score sheets, equipment, etc., following events, and recording scores statistics, etc., as needed for record purposes. |

| Under general supervision performs varied duties in a recreational center. Opens and closes a recreational center. Will be required to learn University guidelines regarding emergency situations such as fire alarms, bomb threats, general crowd control as well as departmental policies and procedures. |
