After School Latino Youth Program Volunteer
Volunteer at one or both of the following Programs:
1. Homework Club: An after school tutoring program for under privileged youth. These kids are children of parents whom work in agricultural labor and are often English as a second language. Gain experience in tutoring and working with Latino populations. These programs are often split into two sessions: one for elementary school and one for middle and high school youth.
2. SHARKS: Sharing Hope and Reaching Kids is a program providing recreational activities for youth, building their self-esteem, and engaging them in positive character development. These programs often focus on crafts, art, dance, music, reading, games, etc. Volunteers will have the opportunity to help run classes as well as create curriculum and lead classes. |

Skagit Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services is seeking compassionate individuals to participate in our fall volunteer training.
Volunteer advocates will provide high quality, fair, culturally relevant, accessible services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Duties include crisis intervention on our 24-hour crisis line and in person. Responsibilities include completing required training and learning appropriate social service practice to effectively deliver advocacy-based crisis intervention, legal, medical and social services advocacy, information and referral assistance and community education and training.
